I’ll be speaking at the inaugural Shutterbee Symposium on the topic of sheet-mulching. While this is an invitation-only event, I’m able to invite all paid subscribers to attend as well, and I’d love to see you there!
Shutterbee—for those of you who don’t already know about my obsession with bees—is a citizen-science program. I’ve been a volunteer for three years now. The way it works is first, a group of bee researchers schools you on how to conduct bee observations in your own yard. Then you log your findings through a phone app over the course of the summer. It’s been a great experience for me to feed a hunger for continuing education (for free!) while participating in an effort to better understand—and thereby help save—bees.
